Bought a new one, took it back to my car, got underneath, and realized there were more than two wires that needed to be hooked back up to the starter. A couple of days ago, my wife took the tractor out to mow part of our yard. The tractor started and ran just fine. She then turned the tractor off and went to move a fallen branch. When she tried to restart the tractor, the engine wouldn’t turn over. I replaced the battery a couple of months ago so it seems unlikely to me that it would be the problem.
Immediately after replacing the battery, I had a problem with the tractor’s kill switch, which is located under the seat.

Unfortunately when they took the upper rad hose off to install the Greddy Water temp sensor and adapter into the old plastic radiator, the top pipe crumbled to pieces! This was a common occurrence among these 20 year old Skylines, it happens as a result of heat cycling over and over. So since I had been meaning to move to a new alloy rad this was as good as time as any, so I ordered up a new Koyo Performance radiator and the guys installed it with a new radiator cap as well.

So when I found these I jumped on them! They met ALL my requirements and then some! They’re literally brand new! Never been mounted on a car before! I love the look, the fitment was bang on, and it all worked out well with because I have the longer Nismo studs up front and 20mm spacers, so it all sits perfectly, and holy god those rear tires are monsters!

In your situation externally grounded the housing case of the solenoid it means the attach mounting tabs have to have a good ground to work properly. They take the starter load in small pieces and cool in between. Master relays are continuous duty and designed to take your electrical load all day long and do not get hot. Good metal to metal contact required for a good ground-no paint between contact surfaces. If properly grounded solid click is heard of solenoid engaging.
If clicky-clicky noise then ground is not “good enough. BAD ground is all. Clean off battery posts. To verify operation, put volt meter on 12v input side to relay-large post-and check other big post for 12v when relay engage push button indicating good contact. Sometimes just checking continuity is insufficient to verify operation.
Make sure when installing, a wrench is used under the post to keep it from spinning. I would have your mechanic install it for you. Steve Pierce ,
